Is it really December already?
Why is time going so fast?
Or is it just me that feels this way...
Today is World AIDS day. (hence the red text) [Wear RED today in solidarity]
It`s very vital that if you are very sexually active that you get yourself tested constantly!
You never know what your sexual partner is hiding from you.
There`s no shame in getting tested! And of course it is ALWAYS safe & best to wear a condom.
I posted this on a discussion on 20sb. :
" I don`t know anyone with AIDS -- except maybe Magic Johnson.
But I don`t know him personally.
Maybe I`m wrong for saying this, but I think that I`m at a low risk for contracting HIV only because I`m not a person who goes around being sexually active with every male human. But I never know, a partner could have the disease, not tell me, and I could contract it. But that would be a rare scenario, seeing as I demand the usage of condoms.
I do consider this a big issue because so many people have died from it -- from being careless. I think this wouldn`t be a MAJOR crucial issue if people out there were smart and "wrap it before they tap it" and got tested regularly. There`s no shame in being safe, in my opinion. This illness isn`t just limited to one race or ethnicity or whatever, it`s a global illness. It happens everywhere, no matter what people think and/or say.
Oh and before I forget.
I think Magic Johnson has the cure for AIDS.
He`s just greedy & doesn`t want to share.
Just kidding :)
I hope more people spread awareness of this disease. "
You may or may not agree with me; but do tell me though, because I`d like to hear your opinions!

I agree with you! I have a lot of friends who don't get tested..and it is scary because like you said even you're safe you don't know if your partner is being safe. But I've been tested several times...and it's worth the nervousness in going getting it done..than to not get it done and die young! I wore my red boots in support of World Aids Day!!
Happy Blogging!
Thanks for the reminder! I'll go put on some red right now.
